Best route to Springfield from Lovettsvile/Leesburg - May 6, 2013, 05:52 AM

I've got to go to a viewing in Springfield tomorrow evening around 5pm. Anyone have a good route there from the Lovettsvile/Leesburg area?

Greenway, sneak onto the non-toll section of the Dulles Toll Road, then the express lanes on the beltway. Otherwise it's going to be an ugly trip for youse.

Ah, right, I'd forgotten about the express lanes. How does one sneak onto the non-toll section of the Dulles Toll Rd?

You can get onto the non-tolled lanes from the airport. I dunno if there's another way.

Get off at the airport, go to airport services (gas station), and buy some gas or a water from there.

Keep the receipt.

Jump on the access road.

Yup. That's how you do it. Have proof that you conducted business there in case you get pulled over. Hence the receipt.
