Billy Lane is screwed - September 25, 2006, 04:49 PM

...cleaned up by Jeeper - Dragula from the internet.

The crash occurred on Sept 4 at about 9 p.m. on State Road A1A and Windemere Place.

Lane's Dodge pickup truck attempted to pass on a double yellow line and struck Morelock while he was riding on his Yamaha bike, the Florida Highway Patrol said. He died at the scene.

Lane owns Choppers Inc. in Melbourne and has appeared on several cable-TV shows about motorcycles, including one originating from the 2005 Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach, where he helped build a memorial bike for a Florida soldier who died in Iraq.

Troopers booked Lane into the Brevard County Jail on $15,000 bond.

at the interweb... but I can still read some of it... so you are re-hired.

That sucks that one dumb move can cause all of this, he should have never gotten behind the wheel... but I am sure he knows this and is regretting it now...

Bummer, met the guy in Myrtle for bike week and hung out for a while. Nice enough guy. Tiny guy though...couldn't be taller than 5' 6" if that. Can't feature that prison would me much of a pleasant experience for him. I wish him well but not looking to see him get a "pass."

It still amazes me that someone can have the world by the balls yet still lack the common sense to realize by doing something so stupid it can all be taken from you in a second. Like the dude's life on the other end of his bumper.
A mistake is 2+2=5. That was just fucking stupidity getting behind the wheel drunk.

Let me guess you like the American Chopper "buid a kit bike" family

Billy Lane is a fun and genuine guy. Met him and hung out for a bit.

Too bad he made a mistake that he is now going to pay for.

+1 I am sure we have all made the same mistake (driving after drinking) at some point in our life but we got away with it. The whole thing is unfortunate.

Fuck off Adrian. I was talking about him being a dick for driving drunk and killing a dude that was doing the very thing that he claims to love. That is dick.

As far as my commentary on not really liking him, that stems from the fact that I thought he was a little critical and tried to hard to emmulate the "bad boy" biker image. He is talented as shit either way.

I love the double standard on here though. You guys laugh when a guy wrecks a bike after stealing it or call for a persons head who doesn't respect the road with a motorcyclist, but this dude goes out, drinks and parties until he is so sloshed, and kills a fellow motorcyclist. This guy is worth way more money than most of us could dream of, has talent out the ass, and pisses it away by boozing and killing a dude.

Too bad...??? How about feeling sorry for the other motorcyclist douchebag.
