Blizzard of 2010 Snowcabulary - February 10, 2010, 02:24 PM

I think with all the snow we have had of late, it is time to make up our own "Snowcabulary" in it's honor. It will serve absolutely no purpose whatsoever, but it could be kinda funny. Lets see how many words and definitions we can come up that pertain to this situation. Remember Post the word and its definition.

Example:

Claustersnowbia: The fear of being stuck inside because there is so much snow, to the point you feel the walls are caving in around you.

Snowlibacy - the feeling of exhaustion that sets in after having copulated with ones significant other so many times during a snowstorm, most often out of nothing but sheer boredom, that you actually consider taking a month of celibacy.

Snowshacial (snow shovel facial) - adv. / adj.

The act of shoveling snow, and while tossing a shovelful - mid heave, the wind suddenly changes direction throwing all the snow back into your face and body.

Mmmm, have a few that'll fit in nicely, I think.

Snow dick -- a figuretive term for one's vehicle's prowess in the snow (e.g. a lifted 4x4 Tundra confers upon its owner a larger snow dick than does a Prius).

Snow boner -- a figuretive term to describe the arosed state of one's snow dick.

Snowbaggery -- like douchebaggery but perpetrated in the snow, usually driven by the urges of the snow boner, most commonly observed from those with large snow dicks.

Snowpidity -- like stupid but perpetrated in the snow by those with very small snow dicks (e.g. attempting to conquer a 10+ degree incline covered in fresh snow in a Prius).

Snones -- like jones but when there are 2 feet of snow everywhere and the bikes are trapped in the garage and you're jonesing to ride.

Fucked - the term that people use to describe the roads whether there is a tiny bit of slush on the sides, or an entire foot. I have no idea while people use this term so loosely

Snowpidity for the WIN....

observed a 2 wheel drive block my entire street spinning and fishtailing up a hit Monday night at 8:45ish...he walked back to his house to get a shovel to dig out finally made it up the hil and turned on main neighborhood street only to get stuck AGAIN. And the kicker is that I was ALREADY going down the hill and he saw me but continually charged up it to get momentum unitl he realized he should at that point stop and watch me BACK UP THE HILL which he couldn't get up going forwards....so I just waited...and waited...and waited tired as shit from digging out a 6.5 ft high parking space for 4 hours!!!!

Snowpidity.....cha ching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

snowstrainpitity:

the act of a person straining their back cause they wait for the snow to stop before shoveling. leaving pounds upon pounds of snow to shovel instead of going out 2 or 3 times to do a quick 20min shovel to keep it from getting too heavy.

snowfatigue:

when you are tired of going out every few hours to shovel so you don't suffer from snowstrainpitity.

snurfacelow:

when someone attempts to drive their honda civic with a 5" clearance through 13" of snow, which plows the surface of the snow getting them stuck.

Snowplexed:

The act of being glued to the window like a zombie just watching the snow fall hour after hour after hour and wondering, "is it ever going to stop"?
