Borrow a trailer??? - October 1, 2009, 10:37 PM

I need to haul a bunch of stuff down to Craig (yzl337) in Texas in about two weeks. I need a covered, lockable trailer (at least 6x10, 6x12, or so) to fill with his furniture, tools, and other stuff (probably around 2000-2500 lbs). It needs to be reasonably clean and mechanically sound for a 4000 mile high speed down and back dash (I really don't need to have a wheel bearing seize or anything like that...I'm not to familiar with roadside rehabs, despite Stillie's best attempts to demonstrate the techniques). I'd need it for about a week (probably the week of 17-25 Oct, maybe a week earlier). If there's anybody out here in the Ashburn area that has something like that sitting around that I could borrow or rent, I'd sure like to discuss options. I'll be driving down with an F-350, so pulling power won't be an issue. I looked at U-haul and they want nearly $1000 for a one-way rental to Texas!

I'd let you borrow mine but I need it until the 27th.
Try JLR Trailers in Manassas.
Jerry is a good dude and has nice CarMate stuff.
Price is pretty good also.

+1 JLR has good prices. I rented an open trailer, two chocks and tie downs for 9 days for $160.

I'd forgotton about Jerry, which is dumb because I've used his trailers several times at VERY reasonal rates. But, I'll call Jay first. Thank, guys.

You can also take mine Ken, if we can move the aprilia out of it into the garage. It's over at Marcs place, he has a key as well.

Ben, call me this evening. It would certainly be closer than Jay or JLR Trailers! We could put anything in it into my garage until I get back.
