Buying Crabs by the Bushel? - July 13, 2010, 05:15 PM

My brother and I are throwing a crabfeast (probably I'll get 1-2 bushels) and before I just go to some random crab stand, I wanted to find out if there were any "spots" that you all went to get crabs.

depends on what you wanna pay and if size is an issue to you... got a great place out in odenton, md (crab galley). they try to put mostly larges in your bushel and they are great crabs, but the price/ bushel when i got them 2 months ago was $250 so a bit on the $$ side

we got them live and cooked them up ourselves (the only way to really do it in my opinion) and we did not get a single paper-shell or water logged crab, which i understand is from when they throw a dead crab into the steamer

let's f*cking rage!
