Car Stereo Gurus needed - November 12, 2010, 11:14 PM

my new truck needs a boomin system. Not trying to spend a fortune. One of my other friends recommended me to a local guru that was finishing up one of Ovechkins' cars. Yikes. Not going that route.

Looking for a good set-up and a solid install. Prefer local. Don't mind spending the cash for good components, but I am not looking to win any sound-offs anytime soon.

Post up or pm me some inside hints to some local talent. I can order everything from Crutchfield/Online if it's easier. Know what I need and want.

Thanks .net

ps I got my head unit from crutchfield because they provided everything. I love crutchfield and if you have an issue you can return it later down the road also.

same here. I used to work in a shop but I was never really any good at the fab stuff.

If need be I would be willing to help you Chris. Let me know if you need an installer if you pick some stuff up online. I have dealing with crutchfield for over 10 yrs and I have never had one bad experience with them. And if you do decide to use them, look up the parts you want and then call them instead of placing the order online. First ask them if any of the items you have are available in their scratch and dent inventory. Since 98% of their business is through their website and catalog, they have a large inventory of returned items. They have an outstanding return policy. And they will not resale an item as new if it has been returned to them by a customer. If the item is returned to them without any faults they will review the item and list it in their scratch and dent section. Anything missing is noted, bla bla bla. I believe that have this scratch and dent inventory is or was available online but is not as current information as what they can provide you over the phone. Again, let me know if you need some help.

Only when it's preceded by "no" and followed by "buffet".
