Cellphone ring tones - November 6, 2007, 03:26 PM

I've got an LV enV cell phone, thru Verizon Wireless. Does anyone know if there is software out there that will let me make ringtones from the music library that I have on my PC?

diggy, goto www.phonescoop.com

They have instructions using Audacity to clip any MP3 song to 19 seconds or less.

Then email the file to your phone 45544555@vzwpix.com

easiest to email your self FROM your phone to be sure you have the right phone email address.

Also only attach the 19 second mp3 song via a WEBMAIL client. Do not send it thorugh outlook or any other mail client.

its easy.

Get your free application http://www.bitpim.org/#download
Worked for me VIA bluetooth (enV Orange). They block most of the phone to phone applications (via bluetooth), but with my PC this works great.

http://www.cellphoneshop.net/blusbdo.html <---Highly recommended(blue tooth dongle $12.99)

I've put entire songs on my phone as ring tones. It also lets you backup, edit, modify calendar events, photo's, and the phone book. And once again, it's free!

Wavelab can be used to edit songs and then convert them to Mp3. Some phones can use any Mp3 as a ring tone. You can get wavelab at any music software store or lime wire.

Thanks for the advice you all, I'll give it a shot. As for my whereabouts, I've been lurking the last few weeks. Sold the RR in October and just pretty much have been hanging in the background. I reckon I'm going to have to make myself seen more often around these here parts

You can also send an mp3 or WAV clip to your phone via MMS by using the website www.fun4mobile.com. This is a good option if you don't use or have email enabled. most phones will let you save an MMS attachment as a ringtone.

to edit the original song into a ringtone, you can use any mp3 editing software, I like Audacity.
