I hope the new basis for the show is to get the guests to kill the host

The amazing part in all this is that Charlie Sheen is still getting paid for 2 1/2 Men.
He had a "dead man" clause in his contract that stated if his character was ever killed off or he was fired from the show, the producers would have to continue to pay his salary if the show continued production.

I have no idea how on God's earth a clause like that was inserted in a talent contract let alone approved by the counter part, but it's the sweetest deal I have ever heard in entertainment since Denzel's deal where he was paid twice for American Gangster because it stopped production, then restarted production a year later.

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a Prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires”.

I don't know who came up with the idea for the show, but I could see that being reasonable if the show was created by Charlie. But otherwise yeah that is a sweet deal. Suprised they keep the show going though with that in the contract... I don't think it's that good w/o Sheen.

Based off what they've shown on TG it would definitely be fun. Unfortunately that fun would fall into the same category as scooters and fat chicks.

I guess if CS didn't create or produce it...shit or even if he did...maybe at the birth of the show when they did there estimate based on similar family shows life spans it was a draw to keep Charley on the show. They might not have figured it would become so popular and live so long.
