Cheaper Sunglasses? - October 4, 2009, 06:01 PM

Looking for a new pair a sunnies. I lost a pair of polarized oakley flak jackets in Outer Banks in June (jumped in the ocean with them on my head, came out of the water and they were gone....stupid move I know).

I haven't gotten around to shopping for a new pair until now.

I used to have a pair of Costa Del Mar's but I lost those too (those were expensive, $200). If you've never worn them though they are amazing, absolutely perfect for fishing.

I'm not willing to pay for the markup at sunglass hut again so does anyone know of a good online venue to buy a good pair of sunglasses from?

You can try Costco (Store or online) - their selection varies but prices are better than a mall shop.

Look on ebay for Smith shades. They are always cheaper and have a ton of styles. I use mine for everything

I am ready to meet my maker but is my maker ready for the ordeal of meeting me...

Ive been rocking a nice pair of shades from Target. Fack your high fashion. Your game should make up any shortcomings , not glasses.

I just got some Berkley polarized 'fishing' sunglasses from Walmart for $15. That's the most I'll spend for sunglasses.

I'm less concerned with the fashion aspect than I am with the quality of the lenses and the fit of the frames. $100+ pair of glasses are worthless if they don't fit your dome.

I worked at a bike shop for a while and have been in the industry for a while my favorite company quality wise is Native and Optic Nerve makes good stuff for the price and the stuff that performance bicycle stocks as the house brand are mainly made by company's like smith and I believe Rudy project buy quality set and they will last a long time I have a Pair of Natives I have been using since 06 and I love them their warranty is bad ass.
