Civil Disobediance Against Traffic Cameras - It's Beginning ... - April 26, 2012, 01:26 PM

DC is saturated with them now, and the Mayor wants more but the civil disobedience and backlash has begun.

There appears to be on individual who while not using this guy's "hot lead" solution or the British tire and gasoline necktie method, is instead running around with safety orange spray paint and marking the camera boxes and the blinds and visual obstructions (trees, poles, mailboxes) where they are hidden behind.

Another well heeled private citizen contracted a sign twirler to stand about 200ft before the hidden camera and notify oncoming drivers of the trap.

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a Prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires”.

Fuck yeah. I'll gladly go out and do this too. There are a couple spots in Monkeybutt County where someone has spray painted "30 mph" and "Speedy Scam" on the pavement leading up to some original speed cameras.

The motherfuckers have a jeep with strobes, sensor, and camera parked on northbound 29 near Ellicott City, and they only put it there to get people returning home from a long day at work. And they leave it parked most of the night, in a construction zone where no work is being done, especially after dark. It's complete bullshit. I was going exactly 50 in a 50 last night, pointing it out to someone, and it flashed me. Very obnoxious.

I always imagine throwing a lasso rope around one of them as I drive by and dragging one of those portable camera boxes through the street.

their everywhere now!
They have like 70 in PG county. one up the street from me and one hidden when i ride to the BLVD.

They still have 2 on 495 going to rockville. They seem to switch up their trucks because last week it was a black pickup truck.

and DC? Forget about it. lol. One time we were riding from rockville to adams morgan and ran through 2 in 2 minutes.

They are not speed cameras. They are remote cash extraction devices.

I agree with you. I got hit by that one the other night and was traveling the usual 10 over that i have never been hit before on. I know if they post it in a construction zone I am pretty sure they have to have a sign that say photo enforced speed if they have the vehicle there. They do in Frederick, they have a shit ton of signs warning motorists.
