Computer people question - February 25, 2010, 07:01 PM

AMD Athlon II 630 Quad-Core
AMD Phenom II 9559 Quad-core

I am looking to pick up a off the shelf desktop for lightweight gaming.

The Athlon system is about $100 cheaper has 8gb system memory and 1TB HD.
The Athlon chip doesn't have and L3 cache but it supposedly unlockable.

Is the unlock easy for a computer noob?

The Phenom system has 6gb system memory and 640 gb HD

I am only looking at spending between $600-$800 bucks right now cause I just bought a new to me motorcycle and looking for a track ride so I don't want to spend a lot on a PC right now. Any advice will be appreciated.
