Congrats to R6Hokie!! - June 27, 2006, 10:29 AM

Duane has reached a milestone that few engineers have surpassed!

This milestone required:

- Bachelor's Degree at an accredited University in Civil Engineering
He graduated from the Virginia Polytechnical Institute of Engineering.
One of the top Engineering schools in the country next to the
University of Virginia
- Passed the EIT (Engineering In Training) Examination, which combines 4 years of your engineering work into one exam.

- Work 4 years in the Engineering Industry as a Civil Engineer
- Study for 6 months straight for the Professional Engineering Examination
This combines the entire Civil Engineering Field in one exam

Congrats to Hokie for Passing and Gaining his Professional Engineering License!!

Way to go R6Hokie!

BTW VT's undergrad engineering is 14th in the nation among all schools. UVA's falls just shy at 31st according to US News.

Dosent help me though, I was business where UVA has VT by a good strech.

thanks guys, this test is a must for my career, I started studying and gathering books in January, the exam was in late April, 8 hours, 80 questions, open notes open books, I think I had 25 books with me, subjects vary from Hydraulics to Environmental to Structural to Transportation Engineering, I just found out this morning I passed, thanks for all the happy thoughts, I am so glad this test is over!!
