Construction around Columbus Plaza (Union Station) - December 12, 2012, 11:53 AM

I have family coming into town via train for the Holidays. Does anyone know the status of the construction in Columbus Plaza in front of Union Station? It was a mess last time I was there and I am afraid it will be a complete madhouse with the addition of all of the Holiday travelers if things haven't improved.

Just know where you are going around the circle and pull up to the outer pick up lanes.

Good to hear things must be better now. In August it took me 30 minutes from the time I got to Columbus Circle to the time I got out of Columbus circle. None of that time was dropping off the passengers as they just got out and walked to the station while I was stopped in traffic just after the point where the parking deck traffic splits off. A lot of the problem was the tour buses, duck boats, and tourists wandering across the traffic, etc. so maybe that calmed down after peak tourist season ended.
