Cost of truck tires!! - December 20, 2009, 08:52 PM

Let me tell ya...GEEZ!!! $120.00 per tire?

Of course with the snow, I looked at my front two tires. I knew they were getting low because I just replaced the rear ones last year...Eh..they are REAL close to the wear marker..

So, I got on-line and started looking around...They are just Wrangler ST (they are on a Jeep Grand Cherokee - 225/75R16) - nothing special...

$120.00 per tire?! For BF Goodrich Long Trail!?!?! WTF!! Not including all the rest of that crap..Valve stems, disposal fee..yadda yadda...

There's almost always a budget tire out there that gets 80% of the performance and life. Go on the vehicle specific forums and find out what that brand is. For my vette it's Sumimoto.

Exactly! Sometimes I feel like rape is happening when I look at the cost of MC tires, especially when I know 1/2 as much rubber and 1/2 as much steel is being used!
