Credit Union Suggestions - October 16, 2008, 12:28 PM

Im looking to join a credit union in the next month or so. I live in Fairfax and work in sterling for the next 7 days than I don't know where I will be working. I have no relatives in the area that have worked for any type of government agencies or anything like that. Actually i have no family in the are a at all.

I have done some research on line and have not come up with much.

Do any of you use a credit union?

Can any of you recommend a good credit union?

Thanx

Dan

if you have *any* eligibility to join a military credit union (Navy Federal, Pentagon Federal) jump on it.

It sounds like you have eligibility to join Apple Federal Credit Union, so you may want to visit one of their branch locations and see what they have to offer.

I've dealth with a few different credit unions when people are using them to buy their bikes... Navy Federal Credit Union is the easiest to work with BY FAR... Synergy One and Apple have been a royal PITA from some of our customers, but for others, things have gone very smoothly.

hope that helps

Navy Fed...best...bank...ever! Though, having one 100ft from my desk and their ease of motorcycle loan application (5min from entering bank to check in hand) is probably detrimental to my financial wellbeing

I get all my loans there except my mortgage.

Navy Fed now lets Army, Marines and Airforce join. http://www.navyfcu.org/

NFCU for the win! I got in because of my ex father-in-law and ex husband. I'm never leaving!

I too have heard about some dissatisfaction with Apple.

Another one for NFCU.

If you don't have a mil background, I heard Synergy was a good one.
