I was a little heated when I wrote this. Am I right or wrong here? (And just so it's clear I am not racist or predjudice in anyway)

Your reservations/customer service people are rude and rediculous to deal with. Not only is your automated system completely useless, when I finally get through to an agent they can bearly speak any english. The particular flight I was calling about tonight is in my wife's name, from AUS to BWI. My question to the agent was "Whats the availability on the 8:00AM flight", the response I got was "We do not offer standby" in an Indi accent of course, so it was extremely difficult to understand her. Since when did Delta stop offering standby options? Or did you allow an uneducated reservation agent to take calls? Being lied to is one thing, when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was hung up on. I wish I could say this is the first time this has happened, It's not. I began my year flying Delta for business, but I have been so dissappointed in your total customer experience that I started flying United, among others. I have flown enough other airlines to realize that Delta is worst in class when it come to customer service. United Airlines will receive the bulk of my business this year (I'm currently a Premier Exec headed for 1K). I am employeed as a project manager, so I travel quite a bit all over the nation. I've decided to give Delta one final opportunity to win back my business. Do something to correct this customer service issue. Additionally, do something for me personally to show me you want my business...

Extremely frustrated,

Put what on your windscreen? I think you are justified in your anger. I don't think airlines ever stop offering standby. I think the agent was bullshitting.

Airlines will offer standby tickets up to 15% of the planes capacity.

I think what the agent implied to him was that the airline no longer offers standby, regardless of capacity.
