CYCLISTS, WHAT'S THIS BICYCLE WORTH? - April 24, 2013, 07:54 PM

going to be selling it, need to know what fair market is for this kind of thing because I was told one thing and I'm finding out another.

Specs:

2005 Fuji Roubaix Pro frame and forks, frame is painted white with carbon forks and seat post

Shimano 105 cranks

23" Maddux wheels w Sapim spokes

good tires

front brake only setup

aluminum neck riser that holds a set of street bars (not road bike hoops)

have pedals, chain and handgrips to go on it

I scoured Ebay and stuff, they only list road bikes/

Thanks!

yes but it still has a derailleur-looking thing under the rear sprocket. I'm not a single speed guy, so I have no idea what the hell that is. Especially since there are no cables on the bike indicating that it is set up for any kind of gear changing.

ok.. does it have a flip flop hub? on the rear wheel where the chain is.. on the other side of the wheel does it look like if you flip the wheel the chain can go on that side too?

if not.. does the bike coast or do you have to pedal all the time? ie. Fixed Gear?

Most custom built single speeds are selling around 300 bucks or so on craigslist..

I say ask 500 and see if you get bites.. it's cycling season and hipsters love fixies..

So true, every 23 year old on H street wishes they were a courier. Post a few pics of this thing, Wood. Is the thing under the rear sprockets the tension-er?

Probably. I'm pretty sure these have vertical drop outs so unless you got lucky, you'd need it.

23" wheels?!? You sure about that? Perhaps you mean 700x23? And yea, the little guy near the dropout is more than likely a chain tensioner.

Yea they should be 26.3" wheels. The tire size is probably 700c or 700mm in diameter. Obviously the tires will be of a slightly greater diameter than the wheel.

This is a 26" single speed (fixie?) Fuji. Considering it sounds like it's not in stock form it's probably worth $300.
