D90 Pixors - September 30, 2008, 01:11 PM

Some random pics I took last weekend at Great Falls, VA. This is using a Nikon D90 with the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 lens. All were taken with VR on and low ISO. I moved to a higher ISO when it started getting darker out.

http://picasaweb.google.com/clemsonjeeper/D90

PS: I'm a noob at this. Most of it was used using auto settings (programmed auto) and I was just messing with the ISO... I'm still trying to figure this thing out.

Nice....I've been wanting to buy a good camera for Miami, with the D90 and D200 at the top of the list.....If Rob can take good pics with it, dare I say anyone could???

How do you like the D90? I was thinking about upgrading my d50 to either a D80, D90 or even the D200 since they are a little cheaper now.

Yeah the movie mode is pretty much awesome. I think all future model DSLRs will have it since Live View is pretty much standard issue nowadays.

I haven't had much experience with other cameras other than the ones I've borrowed from friends to play with... The one thing I notice about the D90 above all others I've used is the LCD on the back is HUGE and has like 3 or 4 times the resolution (which is awesome).

I was going to PM you a deal on SanDisk ExtremeIII 30MB/s cards, but I figured I'd give it to the rest of the photogs on .NET as well.

//As taken/borrowed from slickdeals.net

UPDATE: Beach Camera/Buydig have sold out of 8GB cards. Adorama has reduced their price to match Beach Camera/Buydig deal

Adorama has Sandisk 8gb Compact Flash Extreme III Memory Cards (Min 30MB/second sequential read and write) for $57 with free shipping. There is a $40 to $160 tiered rebate depending on how many you buy. Buy 1 to get $40 rebate, 2 to get $100 rebate or buy 3 for $160 rebate making it $17, $7 or $3.67 each respectively. Thanks ccengineer

Sandisk 16gb Compact Flash Extreme III Memory Cards are available at Adorama for $115 each with $90, $190 and $300 tiered rebate making it $25, $20 or $15 each respectively. Thanks ccengineer [Discuss]

If 30MB/s versions sell out, 20MB/s versions are also available at Adorama for the same price, as low as $6.67 each for 8GB version or $15 each for 16GB. Click here for 8GB version or here for 16GB version

Just picked up (2) 8GB cards to augment my 2MB cards (or is it 4? I can't remember) for track day photography and other times where I'm taking lots of shots over the course of the day.

Yup, I picked up one of the 30MB/s 8GB Sandisks last week. Love that rebate! Too bad all my readers don't support SDHC, so I have to plug the camera into the computer to download pics.

Nice pictures, I like the close up of the leaves, with the sun shining through it. I also like photography, except I use a 1980's something Minolta (makes the greatest pictures)
