Angry DC Police Officer Murders dog. - April 19, 2012, 08:00 PM

Parrot the Dog|BlueSituation.com

This is terrible.

This guy should be fired and brought up on some sort of serious criminal charge.

Whats with all these cops killing dogs lately?

Ugh. As if killing the dog wasn't enough...to do it so cruelly. Could the owner file suit against the city in these types of cases? I wish the courts would start realizing that these animals are often times considered FAMILY MEMBERS and loved as such.

According to the report, the dogs squared off or got into it with each other in some way. God forbid dogs be dogs! Who gave this guy the right to be judge, jury, and executioner? Was the dog an immediate threat to anyone? Instead of carrying up a flight of stairs, why not order it's owner to put him on a leash and wait for animal control?

The owner was apparently only a foster, so I doubt he has any recourse.

The rescue that 'owns' the dog may have, though.

What a fucking dirtbag piece of shit. Fucker needs to be thrown down a flight of steps and executed himself.

Say that now....three hours in a Federal prison and it will be a different story. But don't worry, you would have the rest of your life to get over it. I love my dog tremendously, but I'm not throwing my entire life away to defend his honor.

Cruel? Yes, of course. Morally objectionable? Absolutely. Murder? Murder? Nope. It's not murder. It's important to define terms properly.

Yeah your right, however I would make sure to find a way to ruin his life.

A similar situation happened in Austin, TX. There, the police officer was responding to a domestic disturbance but was given the wrong address. The mis-identified homeowner was confronted by the officer, which caused the homeowner's dog to run outside to check on his owner. Eyewitnesses said that the dog wasn't a threat to the officer, but the officer still shot and killed the dog.

I don't doubt the LEO's face some dangerous situations with animals, but these cases seem like they could be easily handled without the use of lethal force.

So what would you call it when you take another living things life because you are pissed off?

No doubt. Would not lose a wink of sleep should something horrific happen to him or someone HE loved. What he did was sadistic...and unnecessary.

What a bunch of BS.

Statistics are pretty conclusive that pitbulls are a trouble breed. Not only are they naturally aggressive, they have a bite that will cause major damage.

If the dog was under full control there would have been no problems. Obviously, something went down.

Cops don't just shoot dogs for fun. Maybe it was an accident, but I'm going to give the cop benefit of the doubt instead of conjuring up all sorts of stories of police brutality. It makes no sense that a cop would bring unnecessary heat on himself like this.

Those statistics are junk. How many dogs bite vs how many are reported vs how many actually do damage. How many are actual Pit Bulls? And by PitBull i'll go ahead and include SBTs and AmBullys with APBT.

If a Pomeranian bites 1,000 people maybe two will get reported. if a "Pit Bull looking" dog bites 10 i'm sure 10 get reported. And it probably wasn't even an American Pit Bull Terrier.

Do you remember that story in the news, maybe a year ago where a rampaging "Pit Bull" boarded a bus and attacked some guy? It was an American Bull Dog. Of course you see nothing but "Pit Bull Attack" all over the news. Like I said, anything with big head and muscles is a "Pitbull."

Both - American Bulldogs.

Besides the breed was never raised for Human aggression, as part of their bull baiting and later unfortunately, dog fighting heritage, human aggression was an extremely undesirable trait as they had to be handled during "fights." dogs that showed this trait were culled.

Ignorance is more dangerous than these dogs. I'll tell you that.

Bull-fucking-shit. There is no reason, none what so ever that justifies taking a dog, from a controlled position and throwing it down 12 steps to then shoot it.

From a controlled position it could have been tazed, maced, or held until animal control came.

No reason what so ever to throw a dog down 12 steps then shoot it.
