Arrow What happened to the .Net help anyone spirit??? - September 25, 2008, 10:55 PM

It's not a full time job! Hopefully, you will not ever be called on to help out. But it would be nice to have members in neighboring, cities, counties, states to call on if one of us ever needs help. Am I wrong????Get on the list

DCSBN RIDER ASSISTANCE DIRECTORY -- SIGN UP

After seeing this on another site, I thought it would be nice to have a list of .net members who would be willing to help other members in need.

Of course, suggestions for improvement are always welcome, but I am trying to keep it simple.
I will try to update the list weekly with new participants,. and resend the info to those already signed up. Obviously, if this list gets too big I may have figure out another means of updating everyone. I'll deal with that if/when that time comes.

I'm going to do this through email, so I can do updates from work if needed. I do not have access to .net at work, so if you have a question it may be later before it is answered through .net.

Please send your info to :
cafapaf@aol.com (subject heading: DSCBN list)

Because of the virus/spam junk out there you must include the subject heading. I will probably delete your mail without it.

Info to include:
- Screen name
- First name
- City (or area for large cities)EX: eastern Fairfax
- State
- Phone number
- Type of assistance you can offer ex: tools , temp storage for broken bike, Transport (truck, trailer etc), technical information, comraderie, or whatever else you would like to offer (keep it clean!!!) to a member in a pinch.

I'm leaving the I.C.E. info to the Administrators

Only people on the list will get a copy of the list!!!

I'm using Excel for the list. Let me know if you need another format. I'll try to work with you on that.

I'm sure I've forgotten something, but that's all for now.

Every time we hold our tongues instead of returning the sharp retort, show patience with another's faults, show a little more love and kindness, we are helping to stock-pile more of these peace-bringing qualities in the world instead of armaments for war. -- Constance Foster

And BTW wanted to say a big thanks again to mtnhgh - Chris -

I wrecked on Saturday and Mr. mtnhgh just so happened to be riding by after my incident and helped me out tons.

I appreciate the help, as we both discussed, I would have been out there for another 2-3 hours.

Ahem.. this is not to "advertise" his services but more so to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to him helping a fellow rider who went down.

When I dropped him off he had only a little rash and maybe a bruise or two. Hope it remained that way. As for the bike , not so well.

Rider up and ok!!!

Rob, I'm glad I got there when I did. There really isn't much up there for shelter either. Being stuck there in the rain would have been really miserable.
