Dead Body Found on Truck on I-95 HOV - October 26, 2011, 12:17 PM

I was stuck in this yesterday and since the bike does not do well sitting in traffic, I decided to pull over and wait it out for a few minutes. There was a guy with me and we chatted it up for a minute while watching the cagers go by and something nice happened for a change. Of course, most of the bikers passing by asked if we were ok and we gave a thumbs-up but some of the emergency vehicles that were responding to the scene actually slowed down and asked if we were ok also. Again, we gave the thumbs up and they sped away. It wasn’t much but I thought it was kinda refreshing. Knowing my luck, if I actually had a problem, they would not have even noticed me.

I saw yall, and was looking at two guys chatting and an RC-51, I though "wow, they must be really close" Then I saw the bike on the other side.

Yep, that was me. Dude with me was having electrical issues with his Harley. Thing just cut out on him. Seemed like a cool guy so I didn't hit him with the Harley jokes.

Apparently 911 was alerted around 130 PM when someone called in saying they saw someone "fall" from a pedestrian bridge at the Woodrow Wilson bridge. Staties finally found/stopped the truck at 230 in Lorton.

It's been a while since I've been up in that area, but I'd like to believe that at 130, traffic is moving at a decent clip across the bridge.

If it took an hour to get from the WW bridge to Lorton then it definitely was not.

I said across the bridge... not 95 near the mixing bowl. I know that's always jacked up!
