Thanks for proving my point? For a 1TB drive, it's physically huge. Granted, $50 is a slamming good price.

What are the power requirements? Does it need independent power, or can it be powered via usb2?

For an external, the length is about standard. Width is wide. Depth is lower than standard.
Doesn't say it's a portable external, so it probably is only driven off the wall wort.

I picked up a Seagate 1TB USB3.0 over the holidays. USB 3.0 has more power and could drive a full sized external, but they didn't include that feature for some reason.
