Deal Alert: AMEX $25 Credit This Sat. When You Shop @ A Small Business - November 25, 2011, 08:37 AM

Very generous offer from AMEX considering that the little guys get blanked out on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

This Saturday only if you make a purchase of over $25 at a small business, Amex will give you a statement credit of $25!

You just have to register your card with AMEX on their promo site which takes 20 seconds so they know you're partaking.

Offer applies to any independent small business: Motorcycle shops <cough>, Gun stores, ranges, restaurants, etc.

Restrictions

If you received a $25 statement credit in connection with Small Business Saturday through American Express’ offer on Facebook or Foursquare, you will not be eligible to receive the statement credit through this offer. Eligible small business merchants are independently owned small businesses located in the United States that accept the American Express Card. Purchases made at large or national chain stores, at franchised business locations and at government agencies are not eligible. Prepaid, Corporate Cards and ExpressPay transactions are not eligible. Subject to Offer Terms and Registration Terms & Conditions.

Nope. That's the gist of the offer. Spend $25 or >, receive $25 statement credit.

It's essentially like getting a $25 discount in whatever you purchase.

Oil filter, a few jugs of Rotella, a new pair of gloves, brake service, winter prep ...

Hey, AMEX made the offer. They also made the loophole. No problem in my book.

That smart couple just score themselves a $100 discount. Makes me wish I still had two AMEXs.
