Debate this... - February 28, 2007, 12:41 PM

Welp, since it seems like every thread lately is becoming a debating session, I have decided to us this to my advantage.

There are some smart, highly educated people on this site with amazing opinions, so I need you to help sway me one way or the other. I have been on the fence about this topic for years, so let's here your theories:

Is there intelligent life on other planets and if so have they visited this planet?

Beam me up Scotty, there is no intelligent life down here.

I like to believe that there is life elsewhere, though it may not exist in a manner such as we do. I am still out out the question of if it has ever been here.

Most likely intelligent life somewhere out there... I doubt if they have visited this planet... and I'd venture to agree that if they did, they'd just tiptoe back out and never visit again.

Actually this might help explain reincarnation! Great thought Kirs!

Plus isn't that one of the Roswell theories?

I think ET was more about a shrivelled up, short, bald, senile old guy that touched the heart and imagination of some young kids.

Ok You guys win. Crappy topic. let me try another one:

Is it better to start off drinking beer and ending with hard liquor or better to start off with Hard liquor and then move on to beer

Is food a variable and what is the best way to prevent getting a hangover.

Now THIS is useful information!

The old adage is "Beer on Liquor, never been sicker" I don't drink beer, so I avoid this issue altogether. I think food in your stomach slows the absorbtion of alcohol, but I don't know if it keeps you from getting sick or hungover.

I know the answer to this one. The best way to not have a hangover is to be born Irish!! Thanks Dad!

I have always found it better to finish the night on what ever I started the night on. I try not to mix other than a couple shots here and there.

Also by all mean you need to eat before you start out on a night of heavy drinking.
