A Look at the DROID Bionic’s Battery Life - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

If you live somewhere where it is 4G LTE the whole time, the battery life is never gonna be as good as something running on 3G. That being said, all I have read about the Bionic's battery is that it is good for 2 to 3 times the charge of a Thunderbolt on 4G. So you could possibly make a full day on a charge if you don't use your hone very much as a time passer. Buddy of mine picked one up yesterday, he loves it, but like any other 4G phone, the battery technology hasn't caught up yet.

I was going to get it but at this point, I'll pass and wait for the Nexus Prime, or whatever they decide to call it, to come out in October/November.

I'm steering clear of these 4G, dual core phones for the reason Camel posted.
The battery life is paltry. Stand by time is fine, but run time is horrible - and as the battery ages past >6 months or so, it will only get worse. You'll be charging your phone 3x a day minimum if you are even a medium user.

Got one today. I'm going to try it for a week or so before I get the bigger battery. It is smoking fast on the web! Whole new game over the old droid, where it was almost as bad as dial-up.

Don't sneer at the Star-Tac.
That phone was an absolute tank. I had one for nearly 5 years. Stupendous battery life and nothing short of a baseball bat could break it.

Yea when I had the thunderbolt I loved the 4G speed, but the coverage is so limited it became too much of a PITA to wait for the phone to bounce back and forth between 3 and 4G. The closer you live to DC, the better it will be. I'm only in Manassas and the coverage was very spotty.

Got mine Thurs morning. I got the extended battery and I'm right on the edge of 4G network where I work. My battery lasts all day with usage and by the time I get home I still have half a charge. I didn't even turn off any of the background processes that come with the phone out of the box.

It's an amazing piece of equipment imo.

I'm interested to know how long the battery holds it's performance like that
