I just saw it reported on CBS news that Don (Mike Sorce) Geronimo's wife was killed in a car crash in Ocean City. An SUV (looked like an Explorer) crossed the center line and hit Freda head on.

That's so terrible.

I have been listening to that show since they were on WAVA- it's sad to hear.
David Haines (sp?) used to be on the Don and Mike show also passed away this weekend.

I hate hearing about this. They were awesome to listen to and I loved when Freda gave Don crap on the radio
They both will be missed.

I listen to that show all the time on the way home from work. She will be really missed.

from dcrtv.com

Geronimo's Wife Killed In Car Crash - 7/11 - Freda Wright-Sorce (left), the wife of WJFK-FM afternoon man Don Geronimo, was killed in an automobile accident on Route 90 near Ocean City MD on Sunday. Neither her husband, whose real name is Mike Sorce, or their college-age son, Bart, were with her when the tragedy occurred. She was traveling westbound on Route 90 at about 2 PM, when a vehicle avoiding an eastbound accident swerved into the westbound lane and hit her Lexus head-on. Mrs. Sorce, who was a frequent presence on her husband's radio show, was taken to University Of Maryland's Shock Trauma Unit in Baltimore where she died. She was 50. Before marrying Geronimo some 23 years ago, the then Freda Wright had worked at a number of radio stations in the DC area, including WASH. The Sorces resided in Great Falls VA and maintained a vacation home in Ocean City. More from Salisbury's WBOC-TV and Radio And Records.....

She was in her Lexus when a dude in an explorer jumped the median and hit her head on. She held on all the way from the site to several hours in the hospital. As a long time fan, I agree, this is a terrible thing to hear. I thought the supporting cast of the show really showed their guts by broadcasting today in a brave and touching way. Best wishes to them all.

Wow, that is terrible.
I went to two of their "Las Vegas" style shows in DC, when girls did "Monica" in front of crowd.
"Monica" is when a girl puts a cigar into her private part.
That was wild stuff...

I hope Don continues with the show.

Really really sucks. I have been listening since i moved to VA and it really sucks to hear he has lost the woman that he so adamantly loved for 23 years. Sad. I wish him well and the best of luck.

Dude- That was the most insensitive thing that I think I have ever seen you post. And you have posted a lot of STUPID things. WTF is wrong with you.

At least we won't have to listen to her constant whining? So- It's better to be dead and not whining so people can hear it .... than be alive and whining.

You're a friggin

That was totally uncalled for. For you to say the fans of the show wont have to listen to her whine anymore is just wrong. I would rather listen to her whine any day as long as she was alive. She was a great wife and mother. And she will be missed.
