Engagement ring - revisited - October 9, 2008, 02:03 PM

like i said...you cannot justify the infamous engagement ring purchase.

if she didn't want one from one of the richest men in the world...explain to me why ur girlfriend of 3-10 years wants one that costs more than both of your salaries and mortgage/rent combined?

Does/can you or your girl bring more to the table than Beyonce or JayZ? hahah doubt it....

*i am not speaking about anyone in particular - not here to bust balls - this is not a stab...just looking for a reason to the rhyme.....cuz I'm still not convinced.

http://omg.yahoo.com/news/beyonce-fi...jay-z/14009?nc

"The singer says she did not want an engagement ring."

"People put too much emphasis on that," she told the mag. "It's just material and it's just silly to me."

oh and +1 lol

that's the type of woman i'm lookin for....willing to do something with significance not "oooh I like that one"

Oh - i'm dying to hear someone say "man that's cuz they got money" - pllllease say that....i'm waiting for it....

ah - good memory...but by nice I mean dinner..fancy = outback steakhouse. However, the significance of dinner at outback is quite heavy.

but you have some fools out there that rain down flowers, hearts, candy, big plush toy animals.....psh all that and you coulda renewed your SO's car insurance or something - now that lasts all year

and for those who are thinking of a way to use "significance" as a way to justify a ring purchase - you will fail.

How is paying for a wrecked bike condusive to paying more for a ring?

Commonlaw marriage, bitches. Many of the tax writeoff perks of marriage without the $30k wedding, $10k ring, and $12k divorce. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

THAT'S FIFTY-TWO THOUSAND IN SAVINGS! ....AND WAIT ONE SECOND... WE WILL ALSO THROW IN THIS $50 KNIFE SET AND SHARPENER!!!!!

Justifying anything to someone else will always be futile.

Be it wedding costs, engagement ring, cars, motorcycles etc.

All I know is I sleep fine at night.
