The Evolution of W.A.R.P. - May 21, 2007, 04:34 PM

I wanted to post this up to squash any rumors that might go around regarding W.A.R.P. (if you don't care, close the thread now)

When I founded W.A.R.P. (Western Area Riding Posse) 2 1/2 years ago I had envisioned a group open to all bikes styles and rider types that enjoyed riding and spending time in the Shenendoah Valley regions of Virginia & West Virginia.

We started off slow and my target audience was primarily people from DCSBN because this is who I knew. Rob was nice enough to give us our own private area on .NET to use, which we did on and off.

This year a few of us made a commitment to make this vision a reality, and the WARP Zone was started. It has grown and attendance has started to get bigger, from all kinds of bikes, from all over. WARP is really starting to take off.

For this reason, we decided to start our own web forum. We are using the same template that .NET purchased so there are a lot of similarities to DCSBN including the Shout Box. But it is in content a VERY different site.

I wanted to clarify. This site IS NOT and WAS NOT created to compete with DCSBN or as a snub. Our reasoning is simple. We are now opening WARP to ALL bike types (Which includes some Harley Riders) from various areas who want to enjoy biking and fellowship in this region. We didn't think it was fair to whore up this site promoting our group and it's functions any longer.

I have been a long time member of this site and look forward to many more years to come. I ain't leaving, so quit your smiling This just gives us more alternatives as a group to grow

I won't waste Rob's bandwidth promoting our site. That isn't fair. So if you are interested...ask around. Somebody will give you the address!
