The Expendables 3

Sylvester Stallone Confirms Nic Cage For THE EXPENDABLES 3; Responds To Fans And Critics

The Expendables franchise definitely seems to be one of those things that you either love or hate, but any action movie fan simply can't deny just how much fun they really are. Bringing together the actors best known for their contributions to the genre, the films have so far offered a tongue in cheek and explosive nod to a genre which dominated multiplexes in the 80s and 90s (only to now arguably be replaced by superhero adaptations). Taking to his official Facebook page, star Sylvester Stallone has issued the following statement about the planned third installment, confirming that work is moving ahead on the sequel whether some critics like it or not!

We are preparing the film with the same passion and commitment as the previous two. We have confirmed Nicolas Cage, a master actor who gives a veneer intellectual group. Hopefully we can realize to Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes and Mickey Rourke. That is the great mission of the producer. We will continue with the same narrative scheme, the agility and the frenzy, which are inherent to the saga. What will definitely be the last? I can not guarantee. In principle it would be two deliveries, but the affection of the people encouraged us to work on a third. I guess as long as we amused ourselves by offering fun and people, we can continue playing 'The Expendables'. For now we are not as expendable as it should and as some critics want.

I have been surprised there was no Master Segal mentioned yet.

I enjoy the movies tho. The first one is still my favorite, but the jokes were way better in the 2nd one and why Jet Li vanished I have no clue. The movies do exactly what I want, entertain me, give the exaggerated violence that I seek in a mindless shott-em-up action movie, and take me back to the movie theaters, because unless its a movie like this (or batman) Im not going to the theater to see a rom-com.

I hope they make a couple more, bringing in some of the other tough guys and giving them cameos and letting everyone make their jokes.

I just watched the first one. The chick was hot but the gun fight in the end was ridiculous. I got bored after the 4,000th bullet was fired.
