Needs an 80s pop soundtrack.

wow, i haven't seen jet skis ridden on that level before. actually, i didn't realize stand ups were still made and in use. i rode one 10ish years ago and had a hard time getting turning down. i was frustrated, as i usually pick things up pretty quickly. granted, i only rode it about a half hour or so. so seeing these guys rip like that, that ish is not easy at allllll.

Yeah I was surprised also when I saw them still being made a while ago.
Just like cars, motorcycles, scooters and all things with a motor...there are huge moders out and BBS boards made for them.

They say its hard as balls to maneuver on the stand ups...but with allot of practice it will be the most fun on the water ever.

It's crazy how many mods are out for these engines and I love the non-standard configuration of the older ones.

Allot of the older ones are parallel twins or tripples...two strokes, lot of 700cc engines. Impeller mods high flow and dual carb mods.

I have a 1997 yamaha with a 701cc parallel twin 2 stroke with single carb.
rated at 65HP and about 45mph on the water.

Im about to drive to ocean city MD today to get a 1995 yamaha 701cc parallel twin 2 stroke that has dual carbs and more race set up and rated at 80hp and 58+mph on the water.

I found a site that sells all the mod parts and plan on upgrading the 1997 to a dual carb with race impeller. the 97 is a smaller 2 person unit and the 95 im going to get is a bigger 3 person unit.

all sit downs...

but check this stand up out.

This video is full of win!

Gave me completely false sense of confidence... Got me looking at craigs for some cheap old stand ups that I can modify and have some fun at some lake/ocean...
