F-TYPE Live Reveal At Paris Motor Show - October 12, 2012, 01:14 PM

SO is this below the XK series?
Cheaper?
the jag version of the Vantage?

2014.Jaguar F-Type will consist of all its new supercharged 3.0 litre V6 and another new version of its supercharged 5.0 litre V8 engine. It will be available with either 335bhp or 375bhp, but the V8’s figure is as yet unknown. Each three petrol engine has 8-speed automatic gearbox which send power to rear wheels and increased top speed. It also has Stop-start standard technology.“The unveiling of the F-type in Paris will be a truly significant day in Jaguar’s history as it will mark the company’s return to the sports car market, a market it originally helped to create,” Jaguar global brand director Adrian Hallmark said last month in confirming the F-type’s Paris launch.

I really like the styling direction Jag has gone in over the past several years.

If it has the reliability that Jaguar is know for which is to say, none, I don't think I'd be interested.
In terms of reliability, Jags are like Land Rovers slightly less inbred cousin.

BTW - I'm sure Aston Martin's lawyers will be on the phone with Jag's Indian owners about Jag's continual industrial design violations. They made a derivative of the DB with the XKR. This looks like a revised Vantage.

I like it too. This would be a good alternative to a corvette when you get older and want one as a convertible to bait the betties

They are no longer owned by the same company? I know they use to be...and Jags and Astons always had similar designs.

In the 80's Jaguar was an independent company and Land Rover was owned by the Leyland and the British Aerospace Group.

Cars sold, but the reliability sucked. The joke was if you were going to buy a Jag, you had to buy two - one to drive the other for spare parts. Land Rover, buy a flatbed tow truck drive this around with the Land Rover on the back.

In the mid90's Land Rover was sold to BMW.
Trucks got a little better, but not by much because honestly, when has BMW been known for outstanding reliability.

In the early-00's BMW sold Land Rover to Ford who at the time Jaguar, Aston and Volvo (The Ford Premier Group).

Cars sold, but the reliability sucked worse because of Ford's incessant focus of forcing all the brands to use the Ford parts supply chain. You can't make a ho a housewife.

Ford sold them all to different owners in the late-2000's.

Cars sold, but the quality sucked - with the exception of Aston whose new owners decidedly focused on strengthening reliability and getting as many Ford parts bin parts out of their cars as reasonably possible.

Today, TATA Motors, an Indian company whose more known for making inexpensive 3rd world micro cars and unsophisicated commercial buses and trucks owns Jag/Land Rover.

If priced at $30k, do want.

A Jag. Never. The last Jag that was priced in that territory was the laughable Ford Mondeo X-Type.

Then I heard they weren't going to be $30k anymore and I was like...
