Holy snow! Over 100 inches in 7 days at Tahoe

Joel Gratz

More than 100 inches of snow. In Tahoe. Over the last week. Holy snow!

The dumpage will continue through the weekend before finally ending on Monday morning. When all is said and done, more than 10 FEET of snow will have coated Tahoe over about 10 days, which is truly extraordinary. When it's good, it's good, and the storm track for Tahoe has been perfect with tons of moisture and cold air. If you live in the area, I hope you got to experience this storm cycle. And if you happened to be vacationing to Heavenly or Northstar-At-Tahoe recently, boy oh boy are you lucky!

Colorado will also see plenty of snow over the next week, with four storms rolling through in quick succession. The first will hit Friday night, then again Saturday night into Sunday, then on Monday, and another one on Tuesday night into Wednesday. It's this type of consistent snow that can turn the warmer and crunchy conditions from the last two weeks of sun to mid-season powder. Basically, things look good!

While the weather pattern will quiet down late next week, more storms are possible heading into early April, so keep those skis and snowboards handy.

Enjoy your time on the hill!

5-day snow forecast for Friday (03/25) through Tuesday (03/29):

A-Basin: 10-22 inches

Beaver Creek: 11-24 inches

Breckenridge: 11-24 inches

Keystone: 10-22 inches

Vail: 15-30 inches

Heavenly and Northstar: 13-26 inches

What do you value more? Life or Image?

It's a dream out here, and snowboarding season runs right into motorcycle season so there's no downtime like there is in VA. Our track scene is pretty sick too. I'm tellin all you people, it's a dream out here.

O yea and 300+ days out of the year in denver are sunny. Forget worrying about my track days being rained out.
