Well you see, Norm, it’s like this…A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.-Cliff Claven

This happened in my "back yard", so to speak. I go by there every day, mostly by bike. That exit off of I-270 North for I-370 splits into two pretty good sweepers. It's not clear which one he took. Anyway, I'm very sorry to hear this and my thoughts are with his family and friends.

In addition to the cold tires and asphalt, there's a lot of salt and sand lingering on the roadways, especially between lanes and in the middle strip of lanes. Ride smart means slow down and assume you don't have much grip on the road at all, anywhere.

I'll just save my bike some corrosion and spare it the salty rides

I love riding but with salt on the roads, the freezing cold pavement, and random weather our beloved meteorologists do so well at predicting I just assume save myself the headaches of detailing my bike and leave it on the bike lift for tinkering till conditions get better.

I think most people don't consider tire pressure, road conditions, and weather that much when winter comes around. It's a shame cause things like this happens Be interested in finding out what the cause of the accident was.
