FedEx/UPS Job - April 21, 2010, 01:21 PM

Hey all,

My family member has been struggling with finding a new job after being out of work for a year. I wanted to know if anyone here has connections with FedEx or UPS? He has extensive experience with Haymarket Transportation.

Please PM me or email me at playhardracing@gmail.com

Thank you in advance!

Theres a waiting list for package handlers, with fedex anyway. turn over is pretty good tho so it doesn't take long to be called. if he's looking for a driver position then his best bet would be to call the satellite in chantilly and see if they got any openings or upcoming openings. they have a great driver program from what I hear. if he wants a full time non-driver position he'll have to goto the hagerstown hub. I'm speaking of fedex of course.

it was ups. Was really easy to get a job. If you really need a connection I know a guy. ups hub was right off 50 in NOVA. Preloading was hard 3am-8am

Ran that shit like an old tiem assembly line. Straight up hand labor. I did it while driving for dominoes. Sometiems closing late at night. pay was about 9.75 per hour for pre load. You can bring an ipod or something and rock out while stacking boxes.

They usually are slow to higher drivers but you can always try to preload or driver helper first and then get a truck.

IMO, you could preload and then work an afternoon shift job work 3am -8am then work a 10-7 then sleep

Make a lot of $$ but you will be worn down rather fast. I got jacked just from lifting shit from the line into the truck. Hope you dont get the tire truck as that one sucks big dick.

UPS online site shows no job openings. He has been trying to apply for jobs online but I was just checking to see if anyone here had any contacts. It's all about who you know...
