Found Cat: Owner has been located - May 20, 2013, 02:08 PM

We located the owner of this bowling ball cat

We have a cat in our garage, she's really nice, fat, black and white. Seems to be over 5 years old, de-clawed, happy and a bit fussy.
She was super hungry and very thirsty so we got her situated. Also took her to the vet to see if she has an owner but to no avail.
We also got her a broad spectrum flea/tick/parasite treatment just in case. She looks kinda pregnant but wouldn't comply with being prodded at by the
vet so at this point she seems to just be fat.

We found her in our neighborhood which is off of Russel Branch Parkway.
If you know anyone who is missing this cat please let me know and we'll hand her over to them.

Thanks

In case the lead didn't work out you can always try posting to InsideNova on Facebook. Tons of animal lovers in there that may have serious leads. There was an effort to find a dog where tons of people got involved and a week or so later the dog was reunited with family. It was an interesting story of community support with people coming home and posting stuff like "I think I just saw your missing dog walking by ___ and ___ street"

I don't think handing over a lost cat to the owner of a Chinese food restaraunt qualifys as "finding the owner". Good luck, hope the cat is reunited with its family.

this cat is fat enough to feed 3 chinese family's...or one typical white spoiled child.

You can usually file a found report with your local animal shelter too.

I hate cats. Unless they act like dogs.

yeah we have two dogs and a cat (plus this temporary cat), our cat acts like a dog and battles them. But he was raised by the dogs and loves dogs, he even plays fetch.

Seems like lots of cats going missing lately in the area. There have been 'missing' posters for two different cats in my neighborhood within the last week. This isn't one of them.

Located the owner, apparently it's a roaming neighborhood cat. It's fully declawed but the original owner let it roam the neighborhood and another lady adopted it. She keeps it in the garage but the cat won't go inside without peeing (ugh.) But the cat did legitimately get lost and she reported the cat missing.

Thanks again for everyone's suggestions, in the end we had reported the cat to the shelter and she called to see if anyone found her. The lady contacted the shelter and gave her our information and she picked up the cat today.
