FPD - May 31, 2007, 06:24 PM

I was driving on 495 (in a car) and saw a Black Chevy Avalanche truck with three letters on the side of his plate with the initials FPD. This guy was driving like a total prick. He was passing cars on the hard shoulder between the passing lane and the barrier. He must have been at least at 100MPH at times, speeding up then quickly slowing down and swerving towards an exit then continuing. When he blew by me for the 3rd time i looked over and he was not wearing a uniform and I couldn't see any hidden lights or law enforcement type equipment.

Either way, I am suprised this jerk didn't kill anyone. So what does FPD mean?

What style were the letters in?
I've never seen a FFx Co. Police officer/vehicle with those initials on it. It may have been something he did simply so people would second guess calling his ass in.

Why don't you call the State Police and Fairfax County Police and report the vehicle.

Yeah, Fairfax Police's initials are "FCPD", so they wouldn't put FPD on car... besides if the car is not fully marked (ie. black and white, lights, county seal, etc.) then it won't have just FPD.

I'd guess its more a private company, some kind of delivery?

The FPD was on the left side of the plate. Stacked Vertical.

Can't be Fairfax County, Fairfax is in VA, it was a MD plate. I have seen the FOP initials (Fraternal Order of Police).

hmm the only plate I know liek that has a round seal all the way on the left, then says "FED" vertically, then some numbers. It's for federal emergency services, basically federal cops, firemen and EMT, though I dont theink there's a strict check on who gets them.

I guess it coulda been a 1st responder of some kind trying to get to some emergency, but these people should have lights if they gotta rush somewhere.. coulda just been a dick driver...
