Freakonomics - Ironic Motorcycle Death - July 5, 2011, 03:10 PM

Here is a post that I found on the Freakonomics website. The title speaks for itself: "Helmetless Motorcyclist Killed While Riding to Overturn Helmet Law." Ironic, but sad none the less. I mean I am all for freedom of speech and dying for what you believe in, but this just seems irrational; I guess I really just don't get the whole helmet protest thing...

Anyways, if you are familiar with the Freakonomics guys, then you know they are constantly looking at the societal effects of each scenario. The blog post brings up an odd perspective - how states that have had their helmet laws repealed offer a higher correlation in organ donations.

Oh don't forget to check out the chart at the bottom too, gotta love it!
