Unhappy Free to GOOD HOME... 3.5y/o Minpin - January 8, 2010, 04:11 PM

This is a super sad day for me... I have decided to actively find a good home for Scout, my Minature Pincher. She is a great dog. Loyal, well trained and behaved, adorable... but I just work too many hours and she would be happier with more attention. She had a knee surgery one year ago and is fully recovered. I try to limit her jumping to prevent any future injury but she should be good to go.
She loves to play and chase toys. Crate trained. Religiously house broken... good for 8-10 hours, so sad that I know that (see what I mean about the long hours). She is "barky" but not "yappy". Difference being she does not yap all day long just to hear herself or for attention, but at a car in the driveway, door bell, or knock at door will bark a lot.
Very protective, will bark at strangers, but warms up fast and is chill. Good with other dogs of all sizes. Once she gets the butt sniffing out of the way all she wants to is play and chase with them.
Doesn't really care for kids. Doesn't bark or bite them, but just very non responsive and could care less... probably cause I don't have any.
Have all papers and med history. Most meds up to date, but due for some vacines next month. I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot, just PM with info or for phone number.
I can't believe I'm doing this, but it's better for her I'm sure.
Thanks

She's a sweetheart!
I'll post better pics this weekend.
Just needs a little attention and lots of love... will sleep in crate, but love to sneak under the covers when ever she can

I had a min pin, and she was just awesome... the most loyal thing in the world. She followed me everywhere in the house, just wanted to be wherever you are.. unfortunately she went to the ex in the divorice, but if anyone is thinking about taking this little one, you will not regret it one bit, they are awesome little dogs..

Vincent, good luck with this, I know it's tough.

FYI, Vincent is a solid dude and can rest assured his dog is squared away.

My buddy has one and my shepherd and she use to play when maverick was a pup. They would run all around the house I thought the little girls heart was going to explode! Very sweet dogs!

Have you found her a home yet?? If not, I want to talk to my mom about her. They had an 11 wk old minpin for two or so days and she and her husband fell in love with her!!! Mom doesn't work and doesn't get around so good anymore and I think a companion to chill and watch tv with would be really good for her!

RIP Greg Walker, I will never forget you

just a reminder. Seems we are all trying to get this one dog but there are hundreds of thousands of dogs that need a good home. If you are ready for a dog or other animal adopt one from a shelter.

Here are a bunch of minpins available in our area.
