Free MSF Training for Military, dependents and DOD employees at Quantico - February 25, 2010, 10:13 PM

I've met a few military and quite a few DOD people here over the last two years and wanted to make sure you guys knew about this training. It's a great way to get started, or brush the winter rust off. Best of all, it's free.

Marine Corps Base Quantico offers free training for Active Duty Military and their dependents; reservists; retired military and DOD employees.

Currently they offer the following classes:
1.) Basic RiderCourse with Va/Dc license waiver
2.) Experienced RiderCourse
3.) Military Sportbike RiderCourse
4.) Assorted Sportbike events: "Track" events with California Superbike School. ("Track" b/c it could be an improvised track on a huge parking lot or runway, or the FBI track) ** NOTE** limited to active duty.

Hopefully in the next year they will add the Lee Parks Total Control Advanced Riding Clinic.

They have an online registration system under "course signup" below and classes appear as seats become available. http://www.quantico.usmc.mil/activities/?Section=DTB

Hope it helps.

No dependents of DOD employees. It's restricted to active military dependents.
