Well i've started the home buying process. Hooked up with a realtor, financial person, and builder... Contract is signed, pre-approval letter is in, just have to wait 120days (Or so they say) for the house to be built. Once it is built this will be my view.

And of course.. if people are really interested in the progress i'll be keeping a log on my website. Some of the specifics are 3BR/2BR rambler with unfinished basement. There will be a rough in for 3rd BR. One upgrade I did was an over size garage, 26'x21' All of this is on 1.84 acres with, as you can see, one hell of a view.

That's awesome. And you'll literally be my neighbor! Make sure you get an ATV, jeep, or dirtbike. The roads out there are considered "roads" so your vehicle has to be street legal, but I've driven an ATV around and Kepi rode a dirtbike all over the place.

The dirt roads go on FOREVER and there's two lakes (ponds, whatever)... you'll love it. AND! The people actually talk to eachother in the sticks!
Winter sucks, though, so reminder 2 on truck/jeep.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
what an awesome view!!

Congrats!

Just thinkin, with the unfinished basement, you might want to have them rough in some plumming incase you decide to put another bathroom down there. Makes things a ton easier if you decide to finish the basement, and its alot cheeper to do now.

Its what my parents did when they built their house.

Thanks GUZZ The basement will have a rough in for 3rd BR and a kitchenette so I can have running water and drain for the bar. Once I finish the basement it will be a 28'x16' rec room with wet bar, pool table, and dart board. French doors will walk out to a padio to enjoy the view. For now though the pool table will be in the unfinished basement.
