FYI: DC Restuarant Week This Week - August 20, 2013, 10:21 AM

Just passing the info along.
Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week | Summer 2013

Dinner sittings are going fast. Booked reservations for Fogo De Chao, Jardena @ Melrose, and Bobby Vans! :w00t:

Normally I'd expect to come out at $75-90 per person including wine and tip at each. I'm looking at only $50 w/the prix fixe specials.

Basically.
The restaurant week price offset on food allows me to purchase a good glass of wine or split vs. the normal house swill and walk out without a mouth agape tab.

Did DC Coast last night. Great food, but everything was smoked. Pork, Swordfish, even the lobster chunks in the lobster bisque.

If you're into smokey flavors, Coast is the place for you.

Tonight is Fogo. I figure I will consume enough red meat to last me two weeks.

Meat sweats FTW. I'm a fan of Texas de Brazil myself, but that place doesn't hold a candle to Fogo.

I'm slipping into a meat coma. Fogo was amazing.

Best Caiphrihinas I've had in quite some time as well.

About the the only thing that ruined my meal? John Wall was at the table directly next to me. Not only was he dressed like he just walked off the streetball court (basketball shorts, white t-shirt, and calf high gym socks) he was with what I am guessing is his extended family and they were uncomfortably loud and country.
