GD is a pretty cool company, I work along side one of their tangents.

When they bought my previous employer the dynamic changed overnight. It went from really awesome to really awful nearly overnight. I can't see any situation where I would entertain the idea of working for them again.

That said, it may differ among the business units and individual sites. The site in question was in the intel community under the then newly created GD Advanced Information Systems.

My advice is to do your research and ask around first.

My experience is - that's what happens in general when a smaller company is bought by a big one.

Well...luckly, I'm in the position to take my time, research and find a good fit.

yeah I don't know what its like to be with another company and then have GD come in and take over... all I know is my own experience, which has been positive. I've pretty much been with the company from the start of my career, and I have to say I'm happy. They paid for my MBA in full, match 401K, good dental and health, and I've been fortunuate to have some really great supervisors.

Go with the winner.
