Giving thanks because you never know - September 11, 2009, 01:36 PM

The news today has made me stop and reflect a little. The old saying of "You just never know" seems cliche', but it really is true. So I thought I would write down a few thank you's to some people. Feel free to spread some love today because, well you just never know.

USRoadscholar.... where ever you are, you showed me that being in control is faster than being quick. I learned to be calm in sticky situations from you and always smiled when I saw you ride up to Sheetz back when 211 was still a place to go.

RRonin... you and Katie made me feel welcome on a large group ride when I knew nobody around me. The two of you took the time to introduce me to more people in one day than anyone else before or since.

Static and Trinity.... both of you seemed to almost adopt me and encourage me to come out of my shy little shell as much as possible. Both of you also were supportive and truly understood why I stopped riding. That meant the world to me especially since one unfortunate event actually solidified my decision.

Carnage.... never once have I been bored while riding with you. As you got better and better over the years, you always seemed to have solid advice for go fast techniques.

Jedi... somehow you have a way of making me feel like I'm at the top of my game just for earning my salary. Membership is my job, but the thanks from you goes miles with me.

Rick/RNR (and the old Fastlanes)... absolutely the best technicians around and thanks a million for taking the time to "once over" my bike free of charge for little fixes and endless advice. It's no wonder so many recommend you and continue to come back or follow you.

Spud... is it possible to meet someone that noone ever speaks negatively about? Sure it is.

There are others and my list would be too long and boring for anyone to read, but the point is that I just wanted to recognize a few dot netters who made me feel at home and why I still continue to post even though I no longer ride. Feel free to add or ignore.

Peace bitches!

Travis

I just wanted to say Ive only been here a few weeks if that?

But this place is very very tight woven (if thats the word to use?)

Everyone here is great no one really treats anyone bad, and Ive asked so many questions lol and no one has treated me like a moron.

I would gladly help anyone on here if they ever needed it!

+1. I don't really know many people on this board, but every.single.time. that I've posted with a question, problem, etc., folks have immediately responded. There's a lot of BS and drama here, but underneath it all is a group of really awesome people.
