glorious gas prices - September 22, 2006, 06:12 PM

I never thought i'd see gas sink below 2 dollars this soon. Just this past sunday gas was $2.13..then on wednesday it dropped to $1.99 and then thursday it dropped to $1.89....and THEN......today this morning I was able to fill my tank at the amazingly low low price of $0.19/ gallon... God bless human error. Class just got out this morning when my friend sitting next to me got a call from his roomie telling him that he was goign to take my friends truck and put gas in it for him, because he had found a pump at one of the stations around campus that was programmed wrong and was giving out gas for .199 cents a gallon instead of $1.99. Needless to say that began the calling freenzy...i myself skipped my next class to get some gas haha...by the time i finished gassing up there were 5-7 cars waiting in line for the pump i was at. Soon the entire school converged on this gas station. Never again will my buddy and i be able to fill up 13 gallons for $2.50...needless to say i'm framing my receipt

If everyone bought a bike that gets 50mpg opec could go f themselves. The real story is the big oil find in the gulf that waited till after summer to be found. avoid Exxon Mobil.

and that is exactly why i thought it worthwhile to skip my class (which i had a quiz in) to get a receipt saying my gas cost .199/gal. I will never see this again.

.79 cents I remember as a boy when gas hit $.50 a gallon and my dad was cussing about it and telling me to mow the lawn quicker and not to waste the "Liquid Gold"

i dont have alot of pictures of my 73. It was a fun little car...1835, 14x6s. The 68 was bone stock everything, and the 67 was cal-look. I was going to swap in the rotary, but i got in a bind and needed cash so the 67 is gone. I dont know if im going to get another....maybe a dune buggy or a bus

My second 73 was a 1904cc (90.5mm bore X 74mm stroke) or basically a stroked 1776. I had dual 40mm kadrons, scat cam, 044s, 1.5 quart sump.
It wasn't a pretty car. Mostly primer with some yellow sneaking through. 205s on the rear and 135s on the front dropped 3 inches all around. Made an honest 110ish hp and at the time would give fits to guys driving stock 5.0 F bodies to about 80. After that they checked out on me. I WISH I had pictures. I have a few paper photos of me running down the 1/8th at Old Dominion about 15 years ago but it just looks like a POS bog from 100 yards away.
