Looking to have the cats changed out on my C7 (no welding)

Anyone have any experience with a good local spot?

Should be easy but don't really want to take it to just any local Midas etc

Thanks brahs

For something that new, and for a change that doesn't include welding, just about any monkey with a lift and a ratchet could do that. There's not much to screw up on a catalytic converter change.

Trying to see if anyone could tell me of a good/reputable exhaust shop in NE DC?

I am chasing some gremlins in my new old 2001 Ford Escape 3.0L V6. It keep stumbling on highway around 2000-2500 RPM usually above 35-40 MPH. This is an intermittent issue. While it runs pretty good in the city and at idle, it seems to lack power on highways or at some points of the trip. I suspect that it is one of my cats that are clogged up as it was misfiring pretty good when I bought the vehicle from previous owner. Misfires are known to kill the cats due to unburnt fuel flowing into them and burning them up. I got the misfires fixed with new coils and plugs, but the stumbling persists so I am on a mission to fix this. Also, I am experiencing very poor gas mileage.

Now, I would like to get verification on the status of my cats. If you know of any good shop in DC (preferably NE), let me know. Thanks in advance!

Edit: I should clarify that I am only looking for a shop to diagnose and confirm the status of my cats. I will perform all of the repair/replacement myself. Thanks again
