Good chili recipe? - December 21, 2009, 09:56 AM

ok, I'm stuck here in texas, starting to cook as I've exhausted the options toeat out in this tiny ass town...bout 5-10 of us eat together regularly, and I need something that'll easily feed the group, chili sounds like a winner...spicy is a good thing and if you list any type of vegetarian recipe, I'll kamikaze my plane into your house

Confusing the issue, since before you were ugly.

No beans, as you are in Texas. I'll dig out my chili recipe in a bit if I can find it. How spicey?

anything from spicy to melt your face off hot...I've got a kegerator and a full keg so plenty of frosty beverage to cool the burn...or just get so hammered we can't feel it.

I'm working on a recipe using Ribeye, ground beef (or turkey), habeneros, sundried tomotoes, jalapenos, protabello mushrooms and more. It has beans. So, some of your may not consider "real" chili. For the record, though, the only technical requirement for something to be chili is that it has peppers in it. Basically, it's what makes it chili instead of stew.

I call it Fire Eye because it is (can be very) hot and has Ribeye in it.

...also because of the condition of your bung the next day.

Old bay dude..... spicey and delicious. Don't go overboard with it though it can easily overpower the taste. But a moderate amount will make it the shiznite.
