Thumbs down GOOD FAITH purchases?? - September 21, 2013, 07:30 AM

You would think that if you make a purchase from a fellow .netter, it would be in Good Faith. Well, that is the hope. I guess it's not always the case.

If someone purchases something from you and it doesn't work, the BEST thing to do is either return their money and take the product back. OR, if it is something that can just be sent back to the manufacturer, send it back and have it replaced and everything stays GOOD!

Making false promises to take care of the issue leaves poor judgement on the purchasers part. Maybe some just don't care.

Rant over

Sorry to hear about that.

I have been dealing with the same thing with someone about a car purchase. People are cowards.

There's WAY more money involved in that one. That sucks!

Sorry this had to happen to you. In the end, you should not think everything is done in a good faith on this forums because it is the internet and this forum is almost as accessible as craigslist.

I do agree that I would "expect" someone to sell me something in a good faith on this board, but I wont be surprised if I got screwed like any other way.

Seriously though, nobody deserves to be screwed especially when it involves $.

Good faith is lacking only if the seller KNOWS the item is defective. Otherwise they DID sell it in good faith. Faith goes both ways. If you sell something that worked perfectly at the time of sale, and the seller calls up wanting his money back because it is no longer working, it takes faith to believe that the seller did not cause the failure.

Buying used is "as is." If you want a warranty, buy new from a reputable firm. it sucks, but that is just the way it is.

You're not wrong to give the benefit of the doubt in 'justice' and 'equity' of a transaction among peers.

I agree, it's sad its sad such was not the case.

Only buy with good faith if you know where the mofos live. That has been my motto and it has served me well.

While there are plenty of people on here that I KNOW would make it right, you've got to know who those people are. If you don't, treat it like any other transaction off CL.

Sorry about that Stacy. Terrible that people just don't be honest about stuff.

IAMBLK would never do that to ya.
