Good time to buy a DODGE??? - May 27, 2009, 07:35 AM

Went by a few places/dealerships that were slated to be closed, as in DODGE/Chrysler/JEEP pulls the franchise BUT will not be buying back inventory... by June 9th...

So, drive-by, seen prices slashed on EVERYTHING... SRT line as well as the rest as much as $8000-$10,000...

So is it a good time to buy that SRT8 Challenger, Charger or Laredo you've been eyeing for???

Id say its a phenomenal time to buy. Dodge is "reorganizing", but after bankruptcy I would expect them to set up shop again, and from what Ive heard they are honoring their warranties. There are a lot of deals to be made.

Id definitely buy one now..Its just reorganization. Warranties are still good. And Dodge is a good product. They have come a long way. Id LOVE to get a new Charger/Challenger...

Agreed zx6r, go to the weak dealerships like the one at the Chantilly Autopark and Leesburg... cars are moving off the lots... Chantilly at one time had TONS of R/T and SRT cars there...

Just so everyone is clear, you'll need to go to a dealership that is scheduled to close. Also, don't expect really any deal on a new Challenger cause any cars still on the lots will be transferred and taken over by dealers that are remaining open, and dealers will be jumping at the bit to get Challengers transferred to them. Trust me on this, I've been following the news like crazy and been in contact with Chrysler for the past two weeks about what's going to happen to my car order [currently have a challenger on order from a dealership that's closing.]

Here's a link to all the dealerships closing. That's your best bet for finding a good deal. http://projects.washingtonpost.com/2...osings/search/

Post if you see some real deals. I could use a truck, but only if it's super cheap.

I would totally buy one if I was in the market. The parts will be around from all the major aftermarket sources. Hell, even if the warranty goes to shit the money saved will even out in the end.

Just saw a commercial watching the basketball game for the Pohanka Dodge out in Leesburg saying they're trying to get rid of everything asap. I bet if you called up saying you saw their commercial you could probably make a real good deal.

And who buys "genuine" dealer parts, anyway.

I was looking at the SLT seems like a good deal but payments suck regardless.

Do you know which ones are closing? I am looking for a SRT8 Jeep...

I noticed that Tysons had a sign last week about 50% off.
