Goodbye NoVA - September 16, 2008, 09:20 AM

I've decided to go ahead and accept a position I've been offered in Huntsville, AL.

I'm really going to miss everyone I've met during my 3 years here. It's been a great time. Everyone's always been quick to help out or offer advice, but above all - you put up with my argue about everything nature. You guys are top notch.

My last day here is Oct 3rd.

A couple of side notes...

Anyone know a decent moving company?

Also, does anyone have a spare room I could crash at for 5 nights? My wife will be moving down ahead of me with all our stuff. I won't need anything other than a place to sleep and shower. I can give you some cash for the trouble.

I think we might be able to help you out with a room. Let me chat with the wife.

Also, how do you do with dogs? We got 2 big rotties.

Edit - For clarification, what dates are you looking at to have a place to crash?

Best of luck! You can crash at our place in DC if you like. No cash needed.

I have two shep mixes. Dogs are no problem.

Oh yeah, I should have mentioned - I work in Chantilly. Is that a reasonable commute from you?

EDIT: durr... nevermind, I see you are in South Riding... right down the street.

Oh, and fyi I won't be around much either... just to sleep and shower. I'll probably be working late my last few days to tie some loose ends.

South riding is a hell of a lot closer to Chantilly than DC, so that may be your best bet. Still, the offer stands.

Pretty damn close!!

Dates would probably be 9/30 through 10/3; driving out on the 4th. But I'm asking 5 just in case.
