Anyone ever install a rear mounted camera and a monitor on their dash? How hard is this to do and how pricey? Did it work well?

what kind of car? we talking in dash monitor or pull down? mp3car.com has all the stuff you'll need for cheap.

It is simple, if its a well known car like a mustang or civic. Other not so popular cars, you'll have to search for ideas. Crutchfield also is real good about talking you through an install. They have specific notes on almost every model and every year of a car.

Lots of people get "pen cameras" and punch out the trunk lock. That way there's not drilling into the body work or mounting under the car.

I knew I was lazy. I just didn't know I was too lazy to say it was for the bike.

Why would you want a monitor for the rear? Are you THAT lazy you can't turn your head? Big SUV's and sportcars with spoilers blocking the view... but you're on a bike. Not putting you down, just find it funny.

I understand the camer for videos and stuff, but why the monitor? You'll kill yourself. Just my 2cents

No, no. It's fine to put me down. The reason is even more stupid than the fact that it is really unsafe. I took off my mirrors and it looks better without them. I fear I'm drifting to the squid side. Your comment made me realize it's not worth it.
